Chinese New Year Party!

On the 29th we had a party with the company to celebrate the Chinese New Year! It was a lot of fun! They asked me to perform a solo plus I danced with two other girls. There was a lot of kareoke singing and silly games. It was funny to see adults play musical chairs!

This is me with Ann, Alice and Coco. Ann and Alice were the two other girls that I danced with. Coco and Alice were the hosts of the night! I have become really close with these girls.

Matt had to give a speech, but James had to translate for him.

This was our dinner! As you can see... I didn't eat very much! I got a little freaked out when the crab and fish seemed to be staring at me. All the chinese people at our table were laughing at me cause I was extremely freaked out by the food. After I took this picture they brought out duck soup... with the duck head in the soup.. that was the worst!

Funny Signs!

I think it is so funny how they translate all of their signs into English. It is obvious that whoever translated it doesn't know English very well!

Cool Pictures!

After we went to the park we drove around for awhile just looking for cool picture opportunites. Here's what we came up with...!

Yes.. I was standing in the middle of the road! haha..! I wanted to lay down and be like on The Notebook but the ground was too wet!

This is looking out over a REALLY big river! We don't have rivers like this in Utah, that's for sure!

Let It Snow!

So today it snowed! I thought I came to China to get away from the snow! Me and Matt went to a park that is about three blocks away from the apartment. It was really beautiful! There is a lake in the middle that is just beautiful, but today it was mostly frozen over. We did see two little ducks swimming in the water though.

I never thought I would see a flower in full bloom that had snow on it!

Again, I never thought that I would see palm trees with snow on them! Weird!

"Shopping" in the Rain!

Matt, Michelle and I all went shopping in the rain one day. It was freezing! Matt and I started out without umbrellas, we eventually bought some, but not before my hair got completely ruined! It was a cold but really fun day!

I thought I would try and be tough like this statue! This was right outside of the silk market!

Mini Wall - Take Two!

Here are some more pictures of the wall, but with people in them!

The Mini Great Wall!

These are just a few of my favorite pictures that were taken at the Wall that we climbed. With everyone's cameras we have about 260 pictures of it, so this barely scratches the surface.

Blister of a Lifetime!

Earlier on the 11th, Fang Fang and I went out shopping. I wore heels of course and ended up getting a HUGE blister on the back of my foot. You can't see it very well in this picture, but believe me.. it was ginormous!

Team Building Party!! (Jan. 11)

On the 11th we had a team building party for all of the employees that work in the front office. We went to a restaurant that was like Rodigio Grill. (I think that's how you spell it.. haha) It was really fun! This is the place that I ate chicken heart..!

This is me with Michelle and Fang Fang. Michelle is the HR person and Fang Fang teaches an English class.

Outside The Apartment!

Outside of our apartment complex there is a river with a lot of really cool bridges that go over it. I thought this was a really cool picture taken from one bridge looking out to another.

My Room!

Here are some pictures of my room!

This is my bed.. obviously.. haha!

This is my corner desk! This is where I spend most of my day..!

This desk is to the right of my bed! I don't really use it for anything!

My TV is right in front of my bed! It doesn't have channels on it, but I watch all my movies at night when I'm laying in bed!

My dresser is to left of my bed! I tried to take a picture of it but it just looks like a big thing of wood.. haha!

The Big Apple!

We found this apple at the Metro. It was huge, so we had to take a picture of it. It was as big around as Matt's hand. You don't see apples like that in the U.S.

The Airplane!!

This is the airplane that we took from San Francisco to Shanghai. It was HUGE!! I seriously don't think that I have ever seen a plane that big! It was pretty awesome!
